10 on 10 August
Yesterday was the first day of school. I couldn't take pictures on an hourly basis because I was teaching, and I can't/won't take pictures to post of my kids online so I just took 10 pictures throughout the day with my iPhone(my camera is still acting up and no one knows why).
Enjoy!
Check out other pictures at Ten on Ten HERE. You are supposed to take 10 pictures on the 10th of every month, but I know myself - with a hectic job and a little baby, I'm more likely to post 10 pictures on the 10th than take AND post them on the 10th, so I take mine on the 9th of the month and post them on the 10th :)
Enjoy!

10 on 10 - July
I have some great photos to share of the wedding I attended...but I can't :( For some reason, when my computer got recovered from whatever alien life form took it over a few weeks back, certain things stopped working on it. One of those seems to be my card reader so I can't load my pictures from my camera onto the computer. So in order to keep up with the 10 on 10, I will post some of the pics from my phone. I'm not sure if I have 10 or not... lets see....
"Mommy and Daddy get chicken and wedding cake, and all I get is a bottle??"
Table runner pattern - it matches my blog!!
Daddy and his little girl - dark and fuzzy due to the lighting
so I turned it B&W hoping to make it look better.
OK, I didn't take this, but it was taken with my phone --
Does that count? lol
The precious flower girl
Hubby's boutonniere
The table cloth and the bottom of my glass - not sure how
I took this. I think it was an accident ha ha!
The best of friends already!
The Groom and his groomsmen (Hubby is far right)
Wish this sign worked at home too...
OK, I did manage to get 10 on 10 today :) Sorry they are crappy quality... the glory of the camera phone :) Hopefully by next month I'll have this problem figured out and will have better pictures.

Wedding pictures
I finally got the chance to get some pictures from my brother's wedding up. Some of them are actually pages of a photo album I'm working on for them!
Me walking down the aisle

Preston and Leslie's vows (photo album page)
Preston putting Leslie's ring on, and my nephew handing her a shell :) (Photo album page)
The Sand Ceremony (photo album page - I'm not sure I like this layout, I may change it)
First kiss as husband and wife (photo album page)

Seeing the world through Elizabeth's eyes
A little while ago, a friend of mine, Elizabeth, wrote this blog that really got me thinking about the beauty around me and really seeing all that is around me. So many times we miss the truly extraordinary because we don't take the time to slow down and really SEE the wondrous sights there are all around us.
I work with disabled children on a daily basis and have no problem whatsoever seeing the beauty and wonders that lay within each precious child, so why is it so hard to see the beauty and wonders in my own life tat are right outside my front door?
I decided to grab my camera and take a walk outside in my yard to see what little pieces of Heaven I could find and these are the miracles that found me:

and I finally decided that this:

is where I think I would like to plant some pineapples to remind me of Elizabeth's blog which will in turn hopefully remind me to look for God's beauty everywhere on a more daily basis... not to mention eventually give us some yummy pineapples!
